Generative engine optimization (GEO) for SaaS brands

From $4,000 per month, we help SaaS brands improve how AI assistants find and describe them. We improve site access and content, align brand facts and pursue relevant third-party coverage. Monthly tests on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot track changes over time. Citation gains are never promised.

No guarantees. Directional measurement. Disclosed methods.

Send your website and we review your site and presence before the call.

Not sure yet? Start with the $699 audit

    What the engagement covers

    • Access, intake and market research before content production starts.
    • Visibility audit, manual AI tests and citation map, using a fixed, versioned prompt set.
    • Technical setup: crawler access, rendering, structured data, llms.txt where useful and measurement in GA4, Search Console and Bing.
    • Consistent brand information and channel setup across owned profiles, YouTube and LinkedIn.
    • Priority page review and rewrites, followed by monthly articles with briefs, reviews and publishing checks.
    • LinkedIn content, video where the source map supports it, expert pitches and qualified placements.
    • Monthly content refresh, technical maintenance, visibility monitoring and checks for inaccurate AI answers.
    • Dashboard, report on a fixed monthly day, monthly call and a channel for questions between calls.

    Set in your written scope

We agree the following after reviewing your site and presence, before work starts.

    • The number of tracked prompts and the engines, markets and languages in scope.
    • Articles and LinkedIn posts per month; whether video is in scope at all is decided from the source map or a demonstration need, never set as a monthly count.
    • Expert pitches and placement targets per month.
    • The peer set and which competitors come first.
    • Whether Ranketize implements technical changes in your CMS and CDN or hands developer-ready tickets to your team.
    • The call length and the async response window (terms, not volumes).

Not included: Placement fees, sponsored content spend and advertising budgets (paid at cost or directly). Engineering beyond the CMS and configuration changes named in the scope. Filming and post-production beyond the video work named in the scope. See the full exclusions list

    Who it helps

    Is this the right fit?

    A good fit if

    • SaaS brands with approved positioning, an agreed audience and an owner for product claims.
    • Brands with an existing presence for the engines to find.
    • Teams that want a monthly directional read and the method written down.
    • Companies whose buyers already ask assistants for recommendations in the category.

    Not a fit if

    • Brands without approved positioning, an agreed audience and an owner for product claims.
    • Brands with no existing presence for the engines to find.
    • Teams that want weekly volume reports instead of a monthly directional read.
    • Buyers seeking the cheapest option or a promised outcome.

We document the work and compare repeated observations. AI answers vary; results are directional and never guaranteed. Read how we measure.

    How it runs

    The first 90 days

    1. 01

      Set up and baseline

      weeks 1-4

We establish the baseline, address technical barriers and improve your priority pages and brand profiles.

      Deliverables and measurement

      What you receive

      • Confirmed access list
      • Sector analysis
      • Versioned prompt set with citation map
      • Frozen measurement definition
      • Technical fixes or developer-ready tickets
      • Entity and profile corrections
      • Rewritten priority pages
      • Live dashboard
      • First written report with baseline score and thirty-day plan

What we look for: We likely know where the brand is absent, misdescribed or beaten to the citation, and which sources decide it.

      Activities

    2. 02

      Publish and earn

      months 2-3

We publish reviewed content, pursue relevant coverage and check what changes in the monthly tests.

      Deliverables and measurement

      What you receive

      • Briefs
      • Reviewed articles verified live
      • LinkedIn and video where the source map supports it
      • Pitches and qualified placements logged
      • Refresh and maintenance log
      • Monthly report on a fixed day with the re-run grid

What we look for: The brand may begin to appear on some prompts where it was absent; directional, not promised.

      Activities

    3. 03

      Measure and repeat

monthly from month 2; a directional read only once several monthly observations exist

We compare repeated observations, plan corrections for inaccurate answers and set the next month's priorities.

      Deliverables and measurement

      What you receive

      • Monthly report on a fixed day
      • Hallucination correction plans
      • Re-run perception grid
      • Next month's priorities

What we look for: A directional read across repeated monthly observations, never two isolated captures, with any setup change disclosed; a movement after a deliverable is an association, not proof of cause.

      Activities

    Reporting

    Reporting and cadence

    • Async channel

A written channel for questions between calls; the response window is set in your written scope.

    • Monthly report

Delivered on a fixed day: what was measured, what changed, what comes next, with every figure carrying its source and denominator.

    • Monthly call

A working call on the report and the next month's priorities; the call length is set in your written scope.

    • Refresh on trigger

A refresh runs when facts, comparisons, sources or repeated observations change, not on a published cadence.

    Detailed scope

    Explore the work in detail

Expand an activity to see the method behind it. The final scope is agreed for your business before work begins.

    1. 001Confirm access and publishing permissions

Access opened and confirmed before work starts: CMS in editor role, Search Console read-only, GA4 viewer; YouTube, the LinkedIn publishing workflow and review-platform admin follow in week one.

    2. 002Understand your buyers and competitors

Intake: your buyer profiles, the path each buyer follows before purchasing, branded and category keywords, the problems that trigger a purchase, the order in which competitors should be addressed, existing battlecards.

    3. 003Research sources in your market

Sector analysis before a line is written: the sources the engines cite most in your market, the formats that dominate the answers, the vocabulary the models use, and how each competitor is positioned inside those answers.

    4. 004Build the buyer question set

Visibility audit: a buyer-language prompt set built from your Search Console and Bing queries, internal search, recurring commercial questions and real comparisons, organised in six families (branded, category, comparison, problem-led, transactional, risk and trust), branded kept separate from unbranded.

    5. 005Test four AI assistants

Manual perception test: the prompts run by hand on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot in fresh sessions anchored to your market, answers captured verbatim; per response we record cited or not, position, competitors named and a visibility rating, and build the citation map of who is cited where you are not.

    6. 006Define comparable measurements

Measurement frozen: prompts versioned; engines, markets, locations, peer set, observation periods and metric definitions written down; brand mention, URL citation, position, share of voice across the peer set and referral traffic, measured separately and never merged.

    7. 007Fix technical access and measurement

Technical setup: access audit on the important pages (status, redirects, robots.txt, noindex directives, canonical, server-rendered content, WAF and CDN rules, sitemap presence); crawler decisions per provider for search, user fetch and training; raw HTML, browser rendering, official-agent fetch and server logs compared; structured data specified per template from canonical Organization values; llms.txt where it fits; GA4, Search Console and Bing measurement configured.

    8. 008Align brand facts across profiles

Entity signals: brand name standardised, then the same legal name, description and founding facts across the priority and sector-relevant profiles.

    1. 009Prepare your publishing channels

Channel setup: YouTube channel with a chapter template aligned to the target prompts; LinkedIn tone, format, cadence and publishing workflow agreed with the author before anything is drafted.

    2. 010Improve priority website pages

Content audit and rewrite: top existing pages audited, priority pages rewritten answer first with a question and answer section and FAQPage schema where it helps the reader.

    3. 011Launch tracking and baseline reporting

Dashboard and first report: dashboard live the day tracking is configured; written report with the baseline score, the competitor citation map and the plan for the next thirty days, every check classified confirmed strength, partial, confirmed gap, not measured or not applicable.

    4. 012Research, write and review articles

Articles, every month: no brief, no draft; the brief names the buyer, the business question, the target prompt, the sources cited today, the verified gap, primary facts, your position and trade-offs, compliance requirements and the page's job; topics come from the prompts where you are absent; separate fact review and editorial review; four release states (research complete, draft complete, client-review ready, publication ready).

    5. 013Publish LinkedIn and relevant video

LinkedIn and video, every month: public posts, articles and newsletters with visibility settings checked; video when the source map shows video surfacing in your category or a demonstration materially improves the answer; native reach measured separately from AI retrieval.

    6. 014Pitch experts and pursue placements

Expert pitches and placements, every month: source requests that touch your category answered with a quote from your expert; placement targets qualified only from third-party URLs observed being cited on your prompts; paid or affiliated placements disclosed; editorial acceptance never promised.

    7. 015Verify publishing and maintain content

Publishing verification, refresh and technical maintenance, every month: production URL, status, main content, structured data, analytics and sitemap verified with dates recorded before anything is marked live; refresh when facts, comparisons, sources or repeated observations change; schema check, crawler access check, IndexNow submission.

    8. 016Monitor visibility and report findings

Visibility monitoring, hallucination detection and the report, every month: tracker configuration verified, comparable periods only, priority prompts examined for gains, losses and source changes; factual prompts about pricing, founders and services captured verbatim with a correction plan per wrong answer; report delivered on a fixed day.

    What is not included

    • Placement fees, sponsored content spend and advertising budgets (paid at cost or directly).
    • Engineering beyond the CMS and configuration changes named in the scope.
    • Filming and post-production beyond the video work named in the scope.
    • Multi-language or multi-market prompt sets unless scoped.
    • Weekly calls or weekly written updates.
    • PR retainers.
    • The Reddit Marketing program (its own scope).

    What changes the price

    • Several markets or languages.
    • More than one brand or product line.
    • A larger peer set.
    • Article, pitch or placement volumes above what the floor price covers for your case, fixed in your written scope.
    • Bi-weekly reporting.
    • Implementation on complex stacks or several sites.
    • In-house enablement and training.
    • GEO and Reddit Marketing quoted as one scope on the call.

$4,000 per month is the floor. Anything above it is quoted in writing before work starts, never billed after the fact.

    What GEO does not do

    • Does not report a percentage without its URL and denominator.
    • Does not restate a correlation as a probability or an uplift.
    • Does not apply a statistic from one engine to all of them, or present a vendor dataset as universal.
    • Does not present a measurement from a single run, or an old result as current.
    • Does not apply a hidden AI traffic multiplier; identified sessions are reported as a floor.
    • Does not promise timing, citation gain or editorial acceptance.
    • Does not set rigid thresholds on word counts, data points or follower numbers.
    • Does not replace your robots.txt with a generic template or add deprecated crawler agents out of habit.

    Questions

    GEO pricing and engagement FAQ

How much does GEO cost and what is included?

From $4,000 per month for the method on this page: month one covers access, sector analysis, the visibility audit with the manual perception test, the frozen measurement, technical setup, entity and channel setup, the content rewrite and the first report; every month after covers articles, LinkedIn and video, pitches and placements, verification, refresh, maintenance, monitoring, hallucination detection and the report. Volumes are set in your written scope after we review your site and presence.

Is there a minimum term and what happens if we stop?

A 3-month initial term, then month to month with 30 days' written notice; six months is the horizon we recommend for a directional read. If you stop, you keep every report, page, schema, dataset and account we built.

    Who does the work?

A GEO lead owns the account and runs the perception tests by hand. Writers work from briefs; fact review and editorial review are separate passes. Your team approves product claims and positioning, since without an approved source for those we produce a research note, not a page. Have an in-house team? Start with the audit: its report names an owner role, a dependency and a verification method for every action, so your team can run the plan itself. The advisory conversation happens in the audit readout and in the program calls, not as a separate retainer.

Why do you not go below $4,000 per month?

The method has fixed monthly costs that do not shrink with volume: manual testing on four assistants, briefs, two reviews per article, publishing verification, monitoring and a written report. Below the floor something gets dropped, and it is usually the measurement, which is the part that tells you whether anything worked.

Can we start with the audit and credit it?

Yes. The $699 AI Visibility Audit fee is credited in full toward month one of GEO when the program starts within 60 days of the readout. The audit's prompt set carries over as version one of the program's prompt set; its hand-run readings are kept as the first dated observation of the program's hand-run grid, which continues under the same rules; the prompt tracker starts its own series and is never merged with the grid, and any change in engines, market, peer set or method is versioned and disclosed rather than compared naively.

What is billed outside the fee?

The fee covers our work. Tools, placement fees, sponsored content and any advertising are billed at cost or paid by you directly. Programs are invoiced monthly in advance by bank transfer, work starts when payment lands, and there is no setup fee.

Do you promise citations or placement?

No. An AI answer is a variable observation from one engine, in one mode, on one date, from one location, off one phrasing. We repeat the measurements before concluding anything, report five metrics separately, treat a movement after a deliverable as an association rather than proof, and never promise editorial acceptance, continued inclusion, citation or commercial impact.

Who is GEO not a fit for?

Brands without approved positioning, audience and claim ownership, since we would be writing research notes rather than pages. Brands with no existing presence for the engines to find. And buyers seeking the cheapest option or a promised outcome, because the method is built around repeated measurement rather than a stated result.

What is generative engine optimization, and is Ranketize a GEO agency?

Generative engine optimization is the work of making a brand's facts reachable, consistent and well sourced so that AI assistants are more likely to describe it accurately and cite it when buyers ask. It is done on the site, on owned profiles and on the third-party sources the engines already read, and it is measured by repeated observation rather than by a single query. Ranketize is a GEO agency for SaaS brands and runs this as the program described on this page.
